RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not limit to):

  • Responsible for bringing together qualified, prospective accounts to Sierra management.
  • Understanding fully, the prospective customer’s requirements and making sure that they are a fit with current Sierra Aluminum manufacturing capabilities.
  • Use acquired contacts to network various industries conducive to Sierra Aluminum marketing and sales strategies.
  • Take ownership of the account.
  • Provide written proposals for new and existing accounts.
  • Establish all aspects of quoting, including pricing spreadsheets and engineering pre-sales.
  • Work with Credit to establish terms and support Credit in collections.
  • Update all customer contact information, address changes etc. through Data Entry Change Document (DECD)
  • Initial process of all NCMD (rejection and credit reports)
  • Inspect on-site, all rejections with or without QC.
  • Provide all customer service support other than order entry and order status.
  • Back up Customer Service as necessary.
  • Collaborate with all departments at Sierra Aluminum with regards to customer relations.
  • Stay proficient with market trends, technical advances and gathering Intel of our competition.
  • Attend trade shows and other industry training events such as the Glass Show, Solar Power Intl. Pacific Coast Builder Show, SEMA. Aluminum Extrusion Council seminars.
  • Support existing accounts with new technology to further solidify long-term relationships.
  • Insure that current accounts are at the highest profitable margins and still maintain volume.
  • Update quarterly, rolling, 4 quarter forecasts.
  • Provide market surveys as requested for various equipment and services. (large and small press surveys, finishing surveys, thermal improvement and commodity fabrication.
  • Initiate and supervise customer plant tours at Sierra and joint calls at our customer’s facilities.
  • Confirm all new price increase notifications with customer.
  • Keep production at 95%+ capacity with profitable long term, high volume accounts.

Role Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills

Education/Other Training

  • BS/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field

Work Environment

  • Typical office environment and work stations.
  • Normal work week and hours with the understanding that workload can vary and must be willing to adjust accordingly to complete tasks at hand.

The base salary range for this position is $87,000 - $119,700. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role.
